Knowledge Quiz Terms & Conditions

The AWS Hong Kong Web Day Event Knowledge Quiz (“Offer” or “Knowledge Quiz”) begins at 10:00:00am Hong Kong Time (“HKT”) on 13 March, 2024, and ends at 4:00:00pm HKT on 13 March, 2024, or when supplies of AWS Souvenir (defined below) are exhausted, whichever occurs first (“Offer Period”). The number of AWS Souvenir is limited.

Open to individuals who are a registered attendee of the AWS Hong Kong Web Day (the “Event”), scheduled to take place online at https://aws.amazon.com/events/data-innovation-web-day-hk and meet all of the following criteria (1) at least 18 years of age or the age of the majority in their locale; (2) not a resident of a jurisdiction under U.S. export controls or sanctions; and (3) a resident in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China (“Hong Kong”) (each, a “Participant”). Offer is void where prohibited. Amazon Web Services, Inc. (“AWS”) and its affiliates’ employees and their immediate family members, and associates enrolled in the Amazon Associates program, are not eligible to participate. Limit one entry per person.

All eligible entries received during the Offer Period will be evaluated and the winners will be selected, based on the following rules:

Participants need to participate in the Knowledge Quiz by joining the Event – during the Offer period and will need to answer the question within the Event. Each question will be given 4 available options and only 1 option will be the correct answer. The correct answer will be defined by the Event Admin – AWS representatives.

During the Offer Period, there will be four (4) questions asked for each participant. Each participant who answers four (4) or more questions correctly will receive one (1) souvenir of AWS laptop sleeves or one (1) souvenir of aluminum camping mug. Type of souvenirs are distributed on first come first served basis and participants who are qualified for the prize can choose the type of souvenirs by indicating their preference at the redemption center, while supplies last.

The Knowledge Quiz shall give out a total 20 pieces of AWS Travel Bags, 20 pieces of AWS Phone Strap and 20 pieces of AWS MagSafe leather wallet as AWS Souvenir. Participants who are qualified for the prize will receive an email by May 12, 2023 to the email address that you provided at Event registration with instructions on how to redeem your AWS Souvenir physically at the gift redemption center located in Hong Kong by May 31, 2023. You may unsubscribe from receiving AWS news and offers at any time by following the instructions in the communications received. Failure to provide all necessary personal information may result in Participants being deemed ineligible. AWS handles your information as described in the AWS Privacy Notice, available at https://aws.amazon.com/privacy.

Entries that do not meet the requirements set forth in these Terms and Conditions may be disqualified
in AWS’s sole discretion.

By accepting the prize, you confirm that your receipt is neither prohibited nor inconsistent with any applicable laws, regulations, or binding orders, including applicable ethics or procurement rules, your receipt will not create a conflict of interest for AWS, and there are no ongoing competitive procurements for which your receipt of this benefit could conflict with AWS's execution of the Contest.

Not combinable with any other offer and cannot be redeemed for cash. This Offer and any products provided in connection with this Offer are not transferable. Void where prohibited by law. Limit one (1) Offer per Participant for the entire Offer Period. Limit one (1) redemption of AWS Souvenir per Offer per Participant and repeated redemption will be deemed void. Participants who receive the AWS Souvenir
through this Offer (“Offer Recipients”) are responsible for all federal, state and local taxes, if any.

General Conditions: The Knowledge Quiz is sponsored by AWS. AWS reserves the right to cancel or modify the Knowledge Quiz at any time and for any reason. Offer may be withdrawn without prior notice. Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for lost, incomplete, garbled, inaccurate, stolen, delayed, misdirected, or undelivered Offer requests; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer errors of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the offer, including, without limitation, errors which may occur in connection with the administration of the Offer, the processing of Offer requests, or in any Offer-related materials. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to participants' or to any other person's computer or printer related to or resulting from participating in this Offer or downloading materials from or use of the Event or Offer website.

Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Offer, as solely determined by AWS, will be disqualified. Should any portion of the Offer be, in AWS’s sole opinion, compromised by bugs, virus, worms, non-authorized human intervention or other causes, which, in the sole opinion of AWS, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or submission of information, AWS reserves the right at its sole discretion to terminate the Offer.

By participating, you agree (i) to be bound by these terms and conditions, the AWS Event Terms and Conditions and the decisions of AWS which are final and binding. and (ii) to release and hold harmless AWS, their parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates, retailers, and advertising and promotion agencies and all of their respective officers, directors, employees and agents (“Released Parties”) against any liability, for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including death, to persons, or property resulting

in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in this Offer or acceptance and use of the AWS Souvenir. To the extent permitted by law, this promotion is governed by laws of the state of Washington, USA. Any and all legal actions or claims arising in connection with this promotion must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in King County, Washington, USA.
