    Once the instance is running, connect to it using a Secure Shell (SSH) client with the configured SSH key. The default username is 'ec2-user'.

    OS commands via SSH: SSH as user 'ec2-user' to the running instance and use sudo to run commands requiring root access.

    What do you like best about the product?
    Amazon Web Service provides comprehensive Linux operating system images for our application deployments. Amazon Linux 2 offers enhanced EC2 instance optimization capabilities and tuned packages for sustainable integration with various AWS services. Since it comes with LTS, we have the comfort of reliability of patch updates and support application dependencies for the latest version.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    The container image provision offered by Amazon Linux 2 is suitable for our development and testing activities carried out in our Amazon SageMaker notebooks. It comes with no additional charges for using its service and the cost depends on the type of EC2 instances which we pick to carry out our application deployments & testing procurements for our clients.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    We benefit from Amazon Linux 2 AMI by the usage of the Amazon SageMaker notebook which manages our instance creation and validation of their functionalities. AL2 ensures that we have a runtime platform that is scalable & secure for carrying out our evaluation metrics of enterprise deployments. It also supports code replication features through which we can migrate our previous notebook instance to the AL2 notebook instance with ease.

    What do you like best about the product?
    The easy and complete process to install and activate de EC2 resource. It is direct and simple. Very few steps, in addition to offering the possibility of securing the resource.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    Unlike a typical Linux distro, the Amazon version contains certain topics that can be improved, the additional user EC2-User, instead of root directly, can be optimized.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    A complete web service (Apache, PHP, MySQL and Redis) in a secure and maintainable way without any setbacks or complications. Several of our servers for our company's applications implement it this way.

    What do you like best about the product?
    Amazon Inspector is an on-demand, pay-as-you-go vulnerability assessment service. Inspector uses an on-host agent to analyze the configuration and behavior of operating systems and applications to identify potential security exposures like common vulnerabilities and insecure configuration settings. The Inspector Agent also provides information about the presence of any listening processes when analyzing network configurations for security vulnerabilities. Inspector prioritizes these issues into security findings by severity level and describes how to address issues to secure your environment. Using this AMI ensures that your entire fleet is prepared to run Amazon Inspector assessments.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    An Amazon Machine Image (AMI) provides the information required to launch an instance, a virtual server in the cloud. You specify an AMI when you launch an instance, and you can launch as many instances from the AMI as you need. You can also launch models.
    Need more AMI with a limited feature that will help quickly fix issues by this customize Ami.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    Use this tool to estimate the software and infrastructure costs based on your configuration choices. Your usage and costs might be different from this estimate. They will be reflected on your monthly AWS billing reports.

    The UI lags and it needs some improvements.

    What do you like best about the product?
    It houses a solid lightweight UI with seamless performance on enterprise-level applications. Peak performance and scaling capabilities are flexible and can be scaled to production standards.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    Though it has been a nicely integrated distro with ample pre-installed applications, there is a lot more scope of improvement in this pre-loaded factor section.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    We are running multiple web applications in parallel and scaling users on a scale of millions. Data transmissions peak are in terabytes. It can be a reliable choice.
    Recommendations to others considering the product:
    It can be go-to distro if one is using a AWS infra setup and need services to a scale.
