The first looks are good but over engineered
I installed this solution yesterday and after fiddling for few hours I feel this solution is buggy. The agents keep starting and shutting down with no meaningful log; the troubleshooting guide acknowledges that this is a problem and I did everything that mentioned but the behavior did not change. System creates tons of different CloudWatch log streams, ideally everything could have been put into one log stream so that it easier to see what's going on. This product has potential of being a good product in the future but at the moment it does not seem ready for production deployments.
Based on the recent experience, I would now give this product a 5 stars. Recently, I gave this product another try. This time I deployed it in our secondary support account and linked the target S3 buckets from main account. This product makes it easy to link and fetch S3 buckets from other accounts; this way you do not have to worry about what the product is doing and you can control exactly what access to provide using IAM. Everything went very smoothly after that. Support team is excellent and very responsive. I wish I could change the star rating to 5 stars.
